Davis Cup Finals, Russia v Argentina
December 3rd 2006 00:58
Okay, here's me trying to start over. Unfortunately I have a feeling this won't work pretty well as it is the Tennis Calender's one month break before the fun starts Down Under after some scattered tournaments around the world in Doha and Chennai, etc.
The Davis Cup Finals started and it's been underway for two days and Russia's leading Argentina 2-1. Today's action sees David Nalbandian face of with Nikolai Davydenko before Marat Safin plays Juan Ignacio Chela, but as always that's subject to change because of reasons that I wouldn't know about, in the semi-finals Dmitry Tursunov replaced Mikhail Youzhny if i remember correctly in the 4th rubber and look what happened!
Additionally, resident blogger Dmitry Tursunov is blogging again, about Davis Cup, and possibly his last blog for the year.
Feder-bear is now available for ordering and I suggest everyone buy one cos it's for a good cause. and it's cute.
and I really should change this layout...
I'll try and recap the Masters Cup a bit later, after I watch those matches, but if you really want to know, well, Roger Federer beat James Blake in the finals. Beat is a kind word considering the first set went 6-0. Anyway I won't spoil it anymore until after I watch the games.
Oh yes, the Aberdeen Cup was underway in Scotland and the Scottish team of Andy and James Murray (they're brothers) beat Englishmen Greg Rusedski and...can't remember who. And Andy cut his hair for charity, so it looks less like a birdsnest.
