2004 French Open Finalist Guillermo Coria has pulled out of the French Open due to an elbow injury. The clay court specialist was favourite to win in 2004 but was beaten by fellow Argentinian countryman Gaston Gaudio in five sets.
Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt are set to play at Roland Garros despite attaining injuries.
Meanwhile, I've only just discovered Andy has a blog on his website. He must be wanting some attention too, what with the blog on the ATP site, he probably wanted his own one! It started in May so I'm not *too* late on the news.

Blog entry, May 25th (IE TODAY).
I will have to visit there again to check it out. He loves Dan Brown and can't wait for the Da Vinci movie to come out.
I have to admire the way in which tennis as a sport is trying to reach its fans on a more personal basis through Blogging. It does not seem too much of a hassle for the tennis players either - they seem to use the internet to contact family and friends a lot. It gives us fans a more down to earth view of tennis life.
Okay, so ARAG news:
GERMANY ARE INTO THE FINAL!
They won last year so that's exciting. Kiefer lost to teen Tomas Berdych 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-3 in two hours and 28 minutes. However, the doubles team Kohlmann and Waske beat Berdych and Leos Friedl for a 6-4, 6-7(2), 10-5 (Match TB) win in one hour and 38 minutes. Kohlschreiber out-fought Czech Robin Vik 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. Kohlschreiber replaced Tommy Haas, who was absent with a pollen allergy attained in Hamburg.
