Well it is getting to every Tennis fan's favourite time of the year .. Wimbledon
I though it was time to start take a look at who the favourites are then take a look at some dark horses, given Wibledon's history.
Centre bet has no surprises in either the Men's or womens favourites.
Federer is the obvious favourite for the 2007 title, hard to argue with 4 in a row: Federer and Nadal have won the last 9 grand slams between them so lets hope some of the other guys get their Big serves firing up for the Wimbledon Grass. The Stella Artois has some big names lined up so hopefully Roddick or Leyton can return to some from and give us a show.
In Womens Tennis: Amelie Mauresmo and Justine Henin-Hardenne are expected to continue their tussle at the top of the women’s rankings.
After her magnificent Australian Open performance Serena Williams has to be a chance and you can never rule out Venus - Fitness prevailing of course -
Sharpova is playing in Birmingham despite Tendinitis in the shoulder so let's hope she can get back into gear - earplug necessary of course -

Fitness prevailing Andy Murray could be a major contender, I am sure the Poms will adpot him if he puts in a good show and you can't argue with a home crowd advantage. He has been out for a month with a wrist injury but is scheduled to play the Boodles tournament next week according to the South Wales Echo and his Coach Brad Gilbert. Gilbert did go on to say the 20 year old won't risk long term prospects for anything so we probably shouldn't hold our breath, wrist injuries are about the worst.
We all know Wimbledon is about the serve, next post will look at who's serve has been rocking it in 2007 and some more dark horses.
